Obiora Nwogugu
Prior to YCP, Obi was a Principal and the Fund Manager responsibility for overseeing the investment activities of the African Capital Alliance (ACA) real estate fund, CAPIC, where he led investments valued at over $250 million.
Obi has over 20+ years of relevant experience in real estate, private equity, investment banking, financial services and consulting. At ACA, Obi led notable real estate investments and developments including Alliance Place Office, Everty One Office, Mansard Place Office, BlueWater Lagos Residences, and the Protea by Marriott Hotel chain in Nigeria.
Prior to joining ACA, he worked at Clarion Partners, a New York real estate investment firm where he focused on asset management and acquisitions across North America, through blind pools vehicles and separate accounts.
Prior to this, Obi worked at Bank of America (Mergers & Acquisitions), and McKinsey, New York. Obi holds a B-Engineering degree from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, an MSc in Computer Science from New York University and an MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Osita Okonkwo
Osita has over 30+ year real estate development, housing and urban development finance, investments and management in Nigeria and across Africa.
He has raised over $500 million real estate portfolio investments (both debt and equity) across 20 African countries; and led $60 million capital markets issuance for first Kenyan housing bond.
Previous roles include Development Director, CAPIC Fund, $165 million real estate fund sponsored by African Capital Alliance; Managing Director, Acorn Project Managers (Acorn Group, Kenya), Deputy Managing Director, Shelter Afrique (Nairobi).
He oversaw the development of 4 institutional real estate assets in Nigeria and one in Ghana valued at over $90m while at ACA. Some of the projects include Blue Water Lagos, EvertyOne Office, Onitsha Mall and Protea by Marriott Owerri.
Osita holds a B-Engineering degree from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an MBA in Finance from United States International University, San Diego, USA.
